2nd May: Team Talk Teleconference – Delivering services in a NDIA world

Team Talk is a unique series of 10 live and interactive Paediatric PD teleconference calls.

Cathy Love (OT), Megan Ingram (SLP) and special expert guests will present and discuss topics central to contemporary multi-disciplinary service delivery to children with special needs.

Join us for a lunch and learn event on the first Tuesday of the month at 12.30pm Melbourne time. Think convenient, niche, bite sized, Q&A professional development without the internet, accommodation and travel hassles. The series is perfect for occupational therapists, speech pathologists, special educators and psychologists.

Learning outcomes include:

  • Familiarity with core NDIS concepts and current issues
  • Understanding client centered practice, including evaluation, goals setting, service planning and delivery
  • Willingness to adapt clinical and customer service practices
A brief overview of current NDIA status, as best we know, will be presented and discussed. The concept of client centered practice will be outlined and the implications for our allied health service delivery in the NDIA context will be discussed. It is time to review old and familiar clinical habits in order to offer a contemporary services that participants want. We are looking forward to energetic conversation, experiences and sharing during this call.
Reference and pre-reading materials will be available via the link provided from one week prior to the teleconference.

Cathy Love is an Occupational Therapist and professional trained Coach, she is the founding director of Nacre Consulting. Cathy works with parents and disability service providers to achieve brilliant outcomes for children with special needs. She has worked with government agencies, not for profits and private practice during her nearly three decade long career. From her Melbourne base Cathy provides workshops, clinical supervision and private practice business coaching globally. www.nacre.com.au

Megan Ingram is a certified practicing Speech Pathologist with extensive experience working with children, families and schools. She has worked in Education Departments in Victoria and the United Kingdom. Megan established and ran a primary school language learning centre. As co-director of Peninsula Speech Pathology Services Megan works with children and teens, their families and teachers.
